I want
Hi....My name is Karen Drollett.
I have been teaching for 32 years at Federal Furnace School in the Plymouth Public Schools. I started teaching at Federal Furnace in October of 1985. I have taught both second and third grade. I grew up in Plymouth and I am a graduate of Plymouth Schools. I can say that I am extremely proud of that! I continued my education at Bridgewater State College and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education in 1984. Shortly after I continued my education at Lesley College to receive my Masters in Education. I still continue to take courses and workshops to further my education and knowledge. I am very passionate about teaching and the students. I love my job! The best part of my job is seeing the students walk through my door every day smiling and ready to learn! They inspire me to do my best and I aspire to do my best! There are many jobs in the world, but being a "teacher" fulfills my life! Teaching challenges me...Every day is different, and fun! Putting together this website was a challenge for me as well. It was a goal of mine that I am proud to say I finally accomplished! I was once told, if you can reach just one child throughout your career, then you are making a difference in the world! I know I have reached at least one and hopefully many more! I continue to strive for the best and to be the best! I want to thank my parents for all they have done for me and teaching me to always be the "BEST" I can be and to be true to myself! I also want to thank my sister, Lauri Reid (a second grade teacher at West) who is always inspiring me as a teacher. She is not only my mentor, she is my beautiful sister whom I respect and love. I am blessed to have her in my life!!!
